Simple means to rejuvenate the skin with no downtime.

You, Only Younger!
Bellevue Photofacial, Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)

Intense pulsed light therapy (IPL), also known as a photofacial, is a skin treatment that provides a simple lunchtime facial rejuvenation with no downtime.  When you want to do something simple, and you don’t have a lot of time in your busy schedule, an IPL is a nice option.   It is generally painless, with no need for concern that it might impact your social calendar.  Yet with limited effort, one can see improvement in sun damaged skin, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and other maladies of the skin, particularly as a result of sun exposure.  Also, there is a tangible improvement of skin quality and noted reduction of blotchiness, redness, and improved radiance of the complexion.

Photofacials generally take close to 30 minutes or less.  There is limited discomfort and the photofacial feels like a “rubber band” sensation snapping to the skin for each IPL treatment delivered.  Benefits occur gradually over the ensuing days and weeks following the treatment.   A series of treatments, 1 to 6 sessions, are ideal for best results.

Intense pulse light therapy works to specific treat the undesirable pigmented skin that gives us that blotchy or patchy red appearance.  Unsightly reddish superficial vessels are shrunk, and blotchy patches of darker pigmented age or sun spots are softened by treating the darker melanin housing the pigmented cells.  The result is a more uniform skin color throughout the face which is a hallmark of youthful skin. IPL treatments are quite easy and can be done quickly with minimal downtime.
